> Gigi Betito (formerly known as Gigi Ben Artzi) is a New York based film director and photographer. He is best known for the narrative short film E.W.A (winner of the Encounters Short Film Festival and an American Film Institute nominee), the video project Downtown Divas, and the feature film Black Slaughter. ## Who

Gigi Betito started as a fashion photographer and moved into documentary and narrative film. Downtown Divas (2014), a series of interviews with female drug addicts, passed one million views on Vimeo within weeks and was covered by Bullet Media, Juxtapoz, Metro Magazine, and Oyster Magazine. E.W.A (2016) won the Encounters Short Film Festival and was nominated at festivals worldwide including AFI Fest and the Marfa Film Festival. Most of his works premiered on Nowness. He frequently co-directs with his brother Roy Betito.
